Less than an hour after I had talked to Adrian, he came back
to me with the positive news that Marc, a close friend of his,
might possibly be in a position to help Bradley find a suitable
position in the Automotive Industry.
Adrian put me in touch with Marc who was employed in the
human resources department of a well-known, multi-national
Automotive Corporation.
Marc told me that, by sheer coincidence, he was on the verge
of launching an advertising campaign to find a dynamic,
young marketing specialist to integrate into his company’s
digital marketing department.
Bradley now needed to market his CV, personal profile,
professional knowledge and skills to Marc in a convincing way.
I got Bradley to email me a copy of his CV. After a quick
review of Bradley’s CV, I suggested that he update it through
doing some benchmarking on what specific features would
today be considered essential for inclusion an eye-catching
CV.
From there on things moved forward quickly, with Marc being
inspired by the appeal of the contents of Bradley’s letter of
motivation, as well as his accompanying CV, which however
was rather thin in the area of previous work experience.
Despite this weakness, Bradley succeeded in landing himself
the job of his dreams in the marketing department of a well-
known, multi-national Automotive Corporation.
